International Student Admissions
International students interested in enrolling should contact the Dean of Student Services for information regarding admission requirements. A student admitted as an "International Student" is one who is not a citizen of permanent resident of the United States and is applying for an I-20 from RMCC to obtain a student (F-1) visa.
Requirements
- The following items must all be submitted to RMCC before an I-20 is issued:
- An application for admission
- Authenticated translated copies of all academic records
- A TOEFL score of at least 500 paper based, 173 computer based
- Applications and all required documents are due one month prior to the first day of classes to be considered for admission or register for classes.
- Students must show financial stability in one of the following manners
- The student must deposit in a local bank an amount equivalent to the cost of attendance* of one semester.
- A sponsor must complete and sign a statement demonstrating their understanding of the total cost of attendance* and their commitment to provide the necessary support based on that total.
*The cost of attendance is revised annually by the Director of Financial Aid. The cost of attendance for the 2002-2003 academic year for an independent, out of state student was $13,902. for the current amount, please contact the Dean of Student Services.
- International students must pay the out of state tuition even if they are living with a resident of the service area.
- Students will not be eligible to participate in federal, state or local financial aid programs
- Placement test scores (ASSET, COMPASS, ACT or SAT) are required prior to registration.
- Students born on or after January 1, 1957 must submit proof of measles and rubella immunization.
- Proof of health insurance with repatriation must be provided.
- Be advised that RMCC does not have on-campus housing.
