Founded in 1983 in Mena, Arkansas, RMCC is a comprehensive, learning-centered community college of approximately 1000 students providing a broad range of programs, services, and learning opportunities to its students and citizens in its service area. Those programs and opportunities include: transfer and technical degrees and courses; professional, workforce, and personal development; Adult Basic Education; English as a Second Language; GED; student support and outreach programs; and financial aid including grants and scholarships (federal, state, and local). Mena is tucked at the foot of Rich Mountain and offers an abundance of untouched scenic beauty. Rich Mountain is part of the Ouachita Mountain range, the highest between the Appalachians and the Rockies and offers the splendor of the 54 mile Talimena Scenic Drive. Enjoy numerous crystal clear lakes and streams, ATV trails, canoeing/kayaking, horse back riding, fishing, hunting, golfing, hiking, and more.
