 Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs

Applications are now being accepted for the position of Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at Rich Mountain Community College. This position, acting under direction of the President, performs both as the chief academic officer and the chief student affairs officer of the College.

The Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA) is responsible for the overall operation of the academic and student affairs units. Working collaboratively with the President, other VPs, associate VPs, division chairpersons and faculty, and student affairs directors, the VPASA provides leadership in the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and effectiveness of programs. The VPASA is a key collaborator in the College's strategic planning efforts.

Minimum Qualification

  • Masters required; Doctorate preferred.
  • Experience in community college administration preferred.

 Adult Education Coordinator

The Adult Education Coordinator, under the direction of the Vice President of Academic Affairs,
manages the adult education classes in the multi-county service area in accordance with state adult
education guidelines. Classes consist of Adult Education, ESL, basic computer operation and workplace
specific topics. Review of applications begins on Tuesday, April 26.

This is a grant funded position and continuation of this position is contingent on continuation of grant funds.

Minimum Qualification

  • Master's degree required in education, administration, or related field.
  • Current Arkansas Teacher's licensure required.
  • Arkansas Adult Education licensure preferred. If not licensed in adult education at hiring, administrators must become licensed in adult education by the Arkansas Department of Education Professional Licensure within four years of the date of initial employment as an adult education administrator.
  • Five years of experience as a teacher and or administrator preferred.
  • Valid driver s license and the willingness to work evenings or weekends on a regular basis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to large groups on all levels.
