ARNEC PROGRAM NURSING INSTRUCTOR

The Arkansas Rural Nursing Education Consortium (ARNEC) seeks a dynamic, innovative, and creative educator for the position of Registered Nursing Instructor. ARNEC is a consortium of eight Arkansas community colleges: ASU-Newport, Black River Technical College, UA Cossatot, Ozarka College, South Arkansas Community College, University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton, University of Arkansas Community College at Hope, and Rich Mountain Community College.

This is a full time, 12-month position. Responsibilities include theory instruction and clinical evaluation, course development, participation in committees, meetings, program and professional development activities, and other duties as assigned. Travel and evening work is required. While the position will be employed through UA Cossatot, the individual can be housed at the nearest campus in the consortium.

 Upward Bound Outreach Representative

The Upward Bound Outreach Representative, under the direction of the Director of Upward Bound Programs, serves as a representative for student intake and advising and collects reporting data for the Upward Bound (UB) program.

This is a grant funded position and continuation of this position is contingent on continuation of grant funds.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrates a low-income, first generation background or success in working with students from
  • similar backgrounds.
  • Experience in dealing with people, either individually or in groups.
  • Experience in relating to students from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Experience in the field of student financial aid, either at the college or high school level desirable.
  • Experience in the field of education or social services desirable.
  • TRIO experience preferred.

 Part-Time Educational Opportunity Center Representative

The Educational Opportunity Center Outreach Representative, under the direction of the Director of Educational Opportunity Center, provides access to post-secondary education to adults along with support and assistance with the completion of student's educational objectives.

This is a grant funded position and continuation of this position is contingent on continuation of grant funds.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • Background similar to students or experience with disadvantaged students required.
  • Experience in dealing with people individually and in groups.
