The Rich Mountain Community College Workforce Training Center exists to provide timely, appropriate, and quality workforce training to meet the changing work skill needs of local business and industries residing in the College's service area.
To provide high quality education and training that is hands-on and/or targeted towards professional development and skills improvement. Courses and workshop topics and content are developed in concert with needs identified by businesses, industries, organizations and individuals in our community.
Semester offerings:RMCC Workforce Training Center Classes are generally one credit hour. At the beginning of each semester a schedule of classes and workshops is published. You will receive documentation of participation through an RMCC transcript at the end of the semester.Contract or Industry Specific:RMCC responds to specific industries and business training needs through customized course or workshop development. These training programs are industry/business specific. The WTC can also act as a broker for the industry in location or facilitating training with other agencies or colleges throughout the state or nation.
Tuition is based upon the type of training. Tuition is generally due at registration and is non-refundable within 72 hours before the class begins. Students who fail to attend regularly are dropped from the course. The tuition waiver policy for age 60+ does not apply to RMCC-WTC courses.
