Student Government Association The SGA shall serve as the student governance vehicle. The SGA shall represent, lead and, unify the student body; aid the college in its large purposes of education; make recommendations concerning student issues to the Rich Mountain Community College administration; act as a means of preserving and attaining the well being of the college community; encourage enthusiastic school support. Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) BCM is designed to offer spiritual growth and Christian fellowship to any student who wishes to be involved. BSU is open to all students and is not restricted to those of the Baptist faith. BCM is designed to provide student leadership skills and offers a variety of activities such as Bible studies focused on students' needs and weekly lunches. Phi Theta Kappa The primary purpose of Beta Eta Upsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Rich Mountain Community College is to provide Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship for all students. We offer the opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence. Rich Mountain Video Team (RMVT) Rich Mountain Video Team is an organization of students interested in video production. The members video local events and prepare them for viewing on Mena Cable Channel 19 and WestArk Cable Channel 27. Furthermore, they work to improve video techniques, share expertise with others, and avail themselves for community video service. Members of the RMVT must be RMCC students in good standing. There are no requirements to join other than an interest in advancing the state of telecommunications in the RMCC service area. RMCC will make available to the RMVT the video facilities and provide the equipment for RMVT video projects. For more information, contact Rudi Timmerman.
RMCC Optimist Club The Optimist Club focuses on "bringing out the best in kids". Through its service projects, the RMCC Optimist Club strives to encourage the development of youth, to promote optimism as a philosophy of life, and to instill in children a positive vision for their future. School sponsor is Joel Bush.
60+ Club This organization is open to any registered RMCC student 60 years of age or older and who maintains registration for a least one semester of each school year. The club formed to promote interaction with our community, to enjoy the many benefits available to Senior Adults, to take part in various recreational activities, and to offer service to the college whenever we can be of assistance. RMCC Actors' Guild The RMCC Actors’ Guild was created in 2010 to allow student participation in live theatre and theatre related events. The group also raises funds for the Theatre Arts Scholarship through mounting productions, Variety Show proceeds, and various fundraising activities. Since inception in 2010 the group has staged seven theatrical productions along with beginning the 5th season of the Variety Show in the Fall of 2014.
