Foster Care/Ward of the State Financial Aid Assistance

The Department of Human Services Division of Children and Family Services has received funding for the new Educational Training Voucher Program that has been funded through and in addition to the Chafee Foster Care Independence Program for the state. The new funding allows former foster youth between the ages of 18 and 21 (and in some circumstances, up to age 23) to obtain assistance of up to $5000 per year for educational expenses.
